This is the drawing of a series of drawings I will be doing on the Happy Tree Friends as labels. You know all of those annoying yet amusing labels like "prep", "goth", "stoner", "punk", "metalhead", etc. the list goes on. Well, I came up with this idea randomally while I was bored in school, and thought it would be pretty cool. Basically, each of the Happy Tree Friends will represent a certain group or style from both today and retro styles from the past with bands that he/she listens to. I figured I'd draw Petunia first for obvious reasons (those of you who know me well that is ). Let me know what you think! Anyway, let me describe this drawing.
Petunia is your typical teenager, except that she has a fascination with the 80s, and thus is rocking the 80s preppy style with the big hair and big earrings which represent the flower that she used to wear on her head when she was younger. Others occassionally accuse her of being trapped in the 80s, but she does not listen to such comments, and thinks for herself. She'll also often get into heated yet friendly arguments with her friend, Giggles over which music is better between today's music and the music of the 80s. NOTE: Has a huge crush on Jon Bon Jovi, even today.
Favorite music: Glam Metal, New Wave, and 80s Pop. Favorite bands: Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Winger, Europe, Poison, Whitesnake, Warrant, Firehouse, The Cars, The Police, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, a-Ha, Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran, Kajagoogoo, and Journey.
Oh, and incase you couldn't tell, she's wearing a Def Leppard tee.

Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
